Patients should only consult with licensed plastic surgeons
Four people in Palm Beach have been arrested on charges of practicing plastic surgery without a license in a stark reminder of the importance of consulting only with board certified physicians. The Palm Beach Post reports that many people were left permanently disfigured after getting cosmetic surgery at the practice, with pain that may never go away and will likely cost thousands of dollars to treat.
Palm Beach County Assistant State Attorney Aaron Papero told the newspaper that so far more than 46 people have come forward wishing to press charges. Three of the people arrested were neither surgeons nor physicians, yet are accused of performing procedures including liposuction, tummy tucks and breast implants.
Patients looking to have safe, effective surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures can avoid all of these costly risks and potentially fatal health problems by always going to the best practice they can find and confirming that their doctor is a board certified plastic surgeon. Make sure that your physician also has an excellent standing in the medical community, since even some licensed cosmetic surgeons in Florida are too focused on performing the most operations possible, sacrificing quality for quantity.
In contrast, Christopher Craft, MD, is truly passionate about his work and always operates with integrity. With a reputation as one of the best plastic surgeons in Miami, he never compromises his high medical and cosmetic standards.
You should only consult with a cosmetic surgeon who is completely trustworthy. Otherwise, you may be putting your looks, your health and even your life at risk. If you’re considering having cosmetic surgery in Florida, call the office of Dr. Christopher Craft to schedule a consultation.
