Beautiful Brazilian women invest in their looks
Brazil is often heralded as the home of some of the most beautiful women in the world, with models like Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima hailing from the South American country. Even those Brazilians who aren’t genetically gifted with extraordinary good looks often invest time and money in enhancing their appearance, with many turning to cosmetic surgery as a way to improve their overall quality of life.
“I’m always saving money,” Brazilian woman Jaqueline Timal tells National Public Radio (NPR). “When I see I’ve gathered up enough money for another surgery I do it … I think we invest in beauty because this is very important for women here. You can get a better job because here they want a good appearance, a better marriage because men care about the way you look.”
Jaqueline tells NPR that she is scheduled to have a Brazilian butt lift, a procedure that Christopher Craft, M.D., offers right here in Miami. It involves reshaping the tissue on the buttocks for a curvier and more attractive backside. For those patients who want increased volume, fat can also be moved from another area of the body, often the abdomen or thighs. Jaqueline’s sister, Janet, has had a tummy tuck and plans to have a breast enhancement procedure.
The Timal sisters tell NPR that they are not particularly wealthy, but like many Brazilian women, they see plastic surgery as an important investment in themselves that allows them to look and feel their very best.
